Quantum critical dynamics in the two-dimensional transverse Ising model

چکیده
In the vicinity of quantum critical point (QCP), thermodynamic properties diverge toward zero temperature governed by universal exponents. Although this fact is well known, how it reflected in dynamics has not been addressed. The QCP transverse Ising model on a triangular lattice an ideal platform to test issue, since experimental realization, dielectrics being realized organic dimer Mott insulator, $\ensuremath{\kappa}\text{\ensuremath{-}}{\mathrm{ET}}_{2}X$, where electric dipole represents degrees freedom. We track Glauber-type constructing kinetic protocol based Monte Carlo method. dynamical susceptibility takes form Debye function and shows significant peak narrowing approaching due divergence relaxation timescale. It explains anomaly dielectric constants observed materials, indicating that material very near ferroelectric QCP. disclose other exponents develop beyond simple field theory.

Eigenstate thermalization in the two-dimensional transverse field Ising model.
We study the onset of eigenstate thermalization in the two-dimensional transverse field Ising model (2D-TFIM) in the square lattice. We consider two nonequivalent Hamiltonians: the ferromagnetic 2D-TFIM and the antiferromagnetic 2D-TFIM in the presence of a uniform longitudinal field. We use full exact diagonalization to examine the behavior of quantum chaos indicators and of the diagonal matri...
متن کاملQuantum annealing in the transverse Ising model
We introduce quantum fluctuations into the simulated annealing process of optimization problems, aiming at faster convergence to the optimal state. Quantum fluctuations cause transitions between states and thus play the same role as thermal fluctuations in the conventional approach. The idea is tested by the transverse Ising model, in which the transverse field is a function of time similar to ...
متن کاملTest of quantum thermalization in the two-dimensional transverse-field Ising model
We study the quantum relaxation of the two-dimensional transverse-field Ising model after global quenches with a real-time variational Monte Carlo method and address the question whether this non-integrable, two-dimensional system thermalizes or not. We consider both interaction quenches in the paramagnetic phase and field quenches in the ferromagnetic phase and compare the time-averaged probab...

متن کاملNonequilibrium critical dynamics of the two-dimensional Ising model quenched from a correlated initial state.
The universality class, even the order of the transition, of the two-dimensional Ising model depends on the range and the symmetry of the interactions (Onsager model, Baxter-Wu model, Turban model, etc.), but the critical temperature is generally the same due to self-duality. Here we consider a sudden change in the form of the interaction and study the nonequilibrium critical dynamical properti...
